Now let me tell y’all something right now—
If you ain’t never been to St. James Live, you owe your spirit an apology.
This ain’t no “lounge.” This ain’t no “bar.”
This is grown-folk sanctuary.
Soon as you step in, the lights get low, the bass gets warm, and your entire nervous system exhales.
You feel like somebody’s uncle about to propose… and somebody’s auntie about to SANG.
The Feel:
It’s giving black excellence in lowercase letters—no need to shout, baby.
Red lighting. White linen. The sound of live instruments warming up like a hug.
Everybody dressed like they still believe in love and dessert.
The Music:
Chile… it’s LIVE.
Jazz, soul, funk, and R&B so good it’ll make you text somebody you don’t even speak to anymore just to say, “You woulda loved this.”
From Marvin to Maze, from Sade to Stevie, the band don’t miss. Ever.
Sometimes they got tribute nights, and babyyyy if it’s a Luther or Anita night??
Clear your schedule. Wear something flowy.
The Food:
Mature, baby. This ain’t no sliders + fries situation.
Get you a blackened salmon, creamy mashed potatoes, collard greens and a cocktail named after a love song.
The plates come out hot, seasoned, and intentional.
The People:
Everybody clean.
The grown, the sexy, the seasoned, the in-love, the divorced but healing.
It’s giving “I moisturize” energy.
No mess. Just eye contact, head nods, and folks singing under their breath like it’s the last song at the family reunion.
Auntie Waya’s Picks: Reserve a table near the front if you tryna feel the music in your bones
Dress up—you will be seen
Dance when the spirit hits you. Don’t fight it.
Bring flats in your purse if your knees ain’t what they used to be
Parking:
Plenty, praise God. Don’t park in the front row unless your car clean tho—they will judge.

Because life be lifin’… and this the only place that plays the soundtrack to it.
“Don’t scroll past this lookin’ for somewhere else to go. You found it. Put your grown clothes on, make that reservation, and go let the music touch a part of you that been needin’ a lil love.”
